In the NewsPress Release 3/3/2016: Drew University and several Madison families gathered once again to kick-off the second semester of the Family & Friendship Program on Tuesday, March 1st at a meet and greet in Seminary Hall. The program matched 7 Madison families and 8 Drew students, bringing the total number of participants up to 15 families and 16 students since the inception of the program in September 2015. Drew University would like to thank the Catlin Family for attending the kick-off event to share their wonderful experiences from the fall with the new participants.
Press Release 9/30/15: On Tuesday, September 29th, Drew University hosted 8 Madison families at a meet and greet in the Ehinger Center. It was a kick-off event for the first ever Family and Friendship Program. The program matches international students with Madison families to give the students a home away from home and the opportunity to connect with their community. Drew University would like to thank Jim Burnet, Assistant Administrator for the Borough of Madison, for both spearheading the program and participating in the program with his own family. When asked why they wanted to participate in the Family and Friendship Program, one Madison family expressed their their excitement in this way. “We had always wanted to host an international student, but our schedule did not leave enough time. This program was the perfect opportunity to get that experience!” |
